In this multi-day workshop, Jared Goldfischer will share his techniques for building poseable toys and figures out of ceramic beads. This workshop is a gateway for dropping into the childhood nostalgia of imagining and creating. Whether it's a robot, animal, insect, or any other creature, ceramic beads offer an easy introduction to the techniques of handbuilding, while still allowing for complex sculptural forms.
Students will be led in the design, construction, glaze, and ultimate assembly of a unique sculptural figure. Students will bring home one completed 6”x6” ceramic sculpture. All firing and material costs are included in the workshop fee.The workshop is beginner friendly and designed for adults but ages 12 and up are welcome!
