This two day workshop will cover traditional and experimental handbuilding techniques aimed at creating pieces that work in unison with the dramatic effects of gloop and puff glazes. This workshop will cover the application of glaze gloop, how it works in conjunction with other glazes, and how gravity and form impact the end result. Students should be experienced and comfortable with basic handbuilding techniques and glazing techniques before taking this workshop.
Day One: Slide Presentation, Handbuilding Demonstrations, students build pieces and corresponding waster trays
Day Two: Slide Presentation, Glaze Demonstrations, students glaze pieces
The glaze firing of one 7”x7”x7” piece is included in the workshop fee.
