Students should be confident in their ability to throw 4” cylinder. Bring your curiosity and a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewillingness to experiment.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eStudents should have taken at least one wheel throwing class and be confident in their ability to throw 4” cylinders. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eStudents will be able to store their work at \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBKLYN CLAY for 2 weeks. Students will be provided 3 hours of open studio time for trimming their work. They may choose from the following open studio dates:\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFebruary 7, 7-10pm\u003cbr\u003eFebruary 8, 7-10pm\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe bisque firing of one 7”x7” pot is included in the workshop fee. Students may bisque additional pieces or glaze pieces by outside firing\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003eJessy is a Brooklyn-based ceramic artist and instructor who maintains an active studio practice and teaches wheel throwing and hand building to students of all levels. With a background in photography, her work is rooted in process, experimentation, and surface design. She is passionate about helping students build confidence in their creative voice, whether they’re new to clay or refining an existing practice.
