Genna Howard is a painter, tattooer, and ceramicist born and raised in New York. Known for their eye for design among different surfaces and attention to small detail: they utilize the foundations of both watercolor painting and traditional tattooing in their use of underglaze painting.
In this single day workshop, Genna Howard will share various techniques of applying underglaze. These techniques can be utilized across a broad range of painting styles,from bold punchy and colorful to soft watercolor and painterly images. A great workshop to introduce the vast amount of possibilities underglaze provides.
Firing Procedure / dimensions: The glaze firing of one 6”x6” plate is included in the workshop fee. The studio will provide bisqued mugs. Students will clear glaze their own work during the workshop. All glazing must be completed during the workshop time.
